Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, issuing access credentials as authorized, and directing individuals to designated areas.
  • Observe incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and materials in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
