Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front-desk policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to the appropriate area of the shelter location.
• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, cameras, alarms, and front-desk communications, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, key or access credential records, and other front-desk documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
