About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Communications in Whitsett, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication skills and technology tools to support security-related operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site-specific procedures.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
