As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Communications in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, report observations, and use your customer service skills while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access concerns.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
