About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Screening in Newark, California, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location through routine unarmed patrols, access monitoring, and professional communication. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist employees and visitors, and respond to concerns with integrity and teamwork. The position is full-time, with shifts scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.60 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle access points, parking areas, trailers, docks, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow established emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, observations, incidents, and access-related events in accurate reports and shift logs.
