As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Protection in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related incidents, support staff with challenging situations, assist with access control, and provide compassionate customer service. Requirements

  • Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
  • Assist with visitor access procedures, wayfinding, and adherence to facility access requirements while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and responding personnel.
