As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, performance spaces, residence areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
