We are seeking a vigilant, community-minded Campus Security Officer to join our safety team. In this role, you will protect students, staff, and campus property while fostering a safe, welcoming educational environment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid state security guard license
Excellent communication, conflict de-escalation, and basic computer proficiency.
Comfortable speaking with the public, providing direction.
Able to stand, walk, and remain active for extended shifts in various weather conditions.
Address and de-escalate conflicts between students, staff, or visitors in a calm and professional manner.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2+ Year Security experience required
Active CT Security License required

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking lots.
Monitor building entrances, verify identification, and secure facility doors, monitor CCTV cameras.
Serve as a first responder to medical calls, fire alarms, and safety hazards.
Assist students and staff with safety escorts, directions, and lockouts.
Write clear, accurate logs and reports regarding daily activities and security incidents.
Secure campus during various events: Concerts, sporting events, school functions, etc.
