About The Position

As a Security Officer for Upscale Mall - Full Time in Manhattan Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Bring integrity, teamwork, reliability, and a people-first approach to every shift.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location management.
