As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Registration in WEST POINT, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at an industrial location, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and control access to authorized areas.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, loading areas, and perimeter access points; document relevant activity and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production-related areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
