About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The Security Officer’s performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalency to include Home School Certificate.
• Regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests.
• Operates a computer, other office equipment, and a radio.
• Must be able to and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a smoke-filled environment.
• Must be able to perform essential functions, with or without an accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling facility property.
• Prepares reports based upon observations, information, occurrences, interviews witnesses, and obtains signatures as needed.
• Monitors the opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Provides escort for employees when entering and leaving main bank with issued bank.
• Observes drop and count team when drop and count is being performed.
• Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned by Security Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
