As a Security Officer Full Time Armed TWIC Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, contractors, deliveries, and visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain professional communication with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
