Security Officer Airport Vehicle Gate
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for airport vehicle gate access control in Santa Ana, California. The position serves a government location and involves protecting clients and the public through patrols, access control, customer service, and incident response. Officers communicate professionally with travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel and document security observations using computer or tablet tools. The schedule is a swing shift, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation and drug screening are conditions of employment, subject to applicable law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport areas, terminals, roadways, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Accurately document patrol activity, incidents, observations, and interactions in accordance with site-specific policies.
