About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for patrol coverage at an assigned site in Salinas, California. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a required six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position involves unarmed patrols, access monitoring, customer service, incident response, and reporting.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food and beverage production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, identifying unusual activity and reporting concerns.
• Monitor access by checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following procedures for deliveries and restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
