Security Officer FT UCC Sellersburg
About The Position
Seeking a Security Officer for a full-time position (40 hours weekly) at Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care in Sellersburg, IN. The schedule involves working 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a 2 days on, 2 days off rotation, including every other weekend. This role involves enforcing hospital regulations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Responsibilities include active monitoring and patrolling of hospital property, reporting safety hazards and unusual occurrences, investigating complaints or potential criminal conduct, assisting in restraining patients as necessary, and providing protective services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year minimum experience in military, security, law enforcement, healthcare, customer service and/or International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification preferred
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required

Responsibilities
- Enforces Hospital regulations
