As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Screening in Hagerstown, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points by screening employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with post instructions and client-facing protocols.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter as assigned, with attention to unusual activity and/or access concerns.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and screening documentation, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding security-related matters and/or procedural questions.
