About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer at a vehicle rental facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this access-control role, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. The position pays $16.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Duties include following site-specific access-control and security procedures, responding to incidents and alarms, patrolling the site, and maintaining records. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures, security policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor access according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access records, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
