As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position combines customer service, communication, and security-related response while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report hazards or maintenance concerns, and document incidents in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, and directions while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
