Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with access protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to post procedures.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of restricted areas, screening personal property when required, and following established inspection and reporting practices.
