Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital tools effectively.
  • Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility services location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and vendors, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify designated contacts and document observations, actions taken, and relevant details in required reports.
  • Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with site personnel and emergency responders, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
