As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen visitors and/or materials, and support site operations through visible presence, strong communication, and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or staff by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
  • Document screening results, incidents, and/or daily activity in required logs, reports, and communication systems with attention to detail.
