As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed in Murrells Inlet, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor activity while helping to enforce access protocols and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, protecting controlled areas, and responding to alarms, calls for assistance, and/or other urgent situations according to post orders.
