About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Compliance in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive observation and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor records, and support access requests in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, lobby areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or access control concerns.
  • Maintain clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
