About The Position

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is hiring an armed Security Officer in the Antioch, Tennessee area. The role helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by safeguarding and patrolling premises, enforcing site regulations and directives, providing customer service, and responding calmly to incidents. Work environments may vary by client site. The position pays $23.00 per hour and is full-time, with an overnight schedule from Thursday through Sunday, 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Applicants must have a current Tennessee Armed Security Guard license, a clean driver's license and insurance, and their own qualifying firearm to carry on the job. The job requires extended periods of standing and walking foot patrol. Employment is contingent on meeting the stated screening, certification, onboarding, and site-approval requirements.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience; experience is required only for armed roles.
At least one year of previous armed security experience is required.
Must currently hold a Tennessee Armed Security License.
Must have a clean driver's license and insurance.
Must own a qualifying personal firearm to carry on the job.
Must be able to stand and walk foot patrol for long periods.
Must be able to obtain state-required security certification, pass a drug screen and background check, receive E-Verification approval, complete onboarding, and receive approval and an interview with the assigned site manager.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment by safeguarding client premises and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Enforce client-site regulations, directives, and safety and security procedures relating to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Remain vigilant by seeing, hearing, and evaluating potential risks or incidents.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
