About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for visitor registration at a manufacturing and industrial location in Shippingport, Pennsylvania. The role involves managing facility entry points, checking credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Officers remain visible, communicate clearly, and identify and report security-related concerns. Available schedules are 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m. The officer will be scheduled for 40 hours with two days off. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain entry records according to site procedures.
• Observe incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.
