About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Charleston, SC, you will help safeguard the site and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, document observations, and provide customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity and teamwork. The position pays $18.50 per hour and is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorized entry, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
