Security Officer Full Time Access Control

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for an educational location. The unarmed officer will help safeguard the campus by providing customer service, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and responding to security concerns. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and pays $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while following site-specific procedures and carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports.
Communicate professionally with campus contacts, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
