About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Carson City, Nevada, to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will safeguard the site and its clients by monitoring access points and site traffic, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and communication. The role requires responding to incidents in accordance with established procedures and keeping accurate logs and reports.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter.
Monitor access control activities, visitor entry, deliveries, and other site traffic according to site-specific requirements.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
