About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role provides hands-on experience across diverse work environments and opportunities to build skills and pursue advancement within Allied Universal.

The position offers 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly. Officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The position requires travel varying distances and reliable transportation. Pay is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Willingness to travel varying distances.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
