About The Position

As a Security Officer in Eden Prairie, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, visitor direction, and other security-related support functions as needed.
  • Support a professional healthcare environment by communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues.
