About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations Associate in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, first responders, and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for irregular conditions, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities by assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and providing information during service disruptions, evacuations, and/or other unusual events.
