About The Position

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Management in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel at a data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery entry procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and coordinating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, including patrol observations, incidents, access-related concerns, and equipment or facility conditions.
