About The Position

As a Security Officer Distribution Company in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and facility personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
• Control access for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, dock areas, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns.
