About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer to monitor security systems and help prevent threats in settings such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses. The role involves observing activity across screens, documenting incidents, responding to potential threats, conducting patrols, controlling access to secure areas, and helping protect people and property.

The position is based in Carson, California, and offers three full-time schedule options: Wednesday–Sunday, 9:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.; Monday–Thursday, 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.; or Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. The hourly wage is $21. Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• A state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security trainings; additional trainings may be obtained during the hiring process.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• A valid driver's license.
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
