About The Position

As a Security Officer Distribution Facility in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, trailer yards, parking areas, gate locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering and leaving the location, verifying credentials, following post orders, and reporting discrepancies in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and/or transportation personnel regarding security-related matters.
