About The Position

Amentum is looking for an amazingly talented Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to join their team. In this role, you will oversee and manage security compliance and operations for a diverse range of programs supporting national security. This includes administering comprehensive security programs, such as personnel security and compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and ICDs. The FSO/CSSO will maintain a fully compliant security program to meet DCSA inspection standards, manage multiple Secure spaces in the Hanover, MD area, and ensure adherence to government regulations across various programs. The role also involves conducting self-inspections, preparing for government security audits, collaborating with stakeholders for classified systems compliance, and safeguarding classified information.

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2-10 years
  • Required Certifications: FSO Certification

Responsibilities

  • Administering comprehensive security programs, including personnel security and compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and ICDs
  • Maintaining a fully compliant security program to meet DCSA inspection standards
  • Maintaining multiple Secure spaces in the Hanover, MD area
  • Managing security activities across multiple programs and ensuring adherence to government regulations
  • Conducting self-inspections and preparing for government security audits
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to maintain compliance with classified systems
  • Safeguarding classified information and ensuring adherence to security procedures
  • Maintains SCIF visitor control functions, entry/exit inspections and badging
  • Conduct SCIF self-inspections in preparation for security audits
  • Prepare written SOPs/EAP and update annually for DoD and IC customers
  • Perform Alarm tests with both the service provider and the guard service, documenting all concerns with the government and IC customers
  • Responds to alarms as needed- After hours and during normal business hours
  • Assist the rest of the security team in day-to-day operations as required
  • Perform security classification reviews utilizing Security Classification Guides
  • Document control handling for classified material
  • Continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams
  • Conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts
  • Read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job
