About The Position

Seeking an experienced professional security officer for a full-time mixed shift position at a construction site in downtown Tempe, near the ASU area. This role involves conducting firewatch and general security duties on a working construction site, including patrols, report writing, and responding to emergencies. The position requires the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and to interact professionally with construction crews and the public. Restroom facilities are limited to port-o-johns. The company provides cold bottled water and sports drinks during shifts, as well as necessary PPE including hard hats, gloves, safety vests, and safety glasses.

Requirements

Current AZ Guard Card.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working security at a construction site.
Solid work history.
Experience with fire-watch patrols.
Ability to use Silvertrac for report writing.
Ability to de-escalate issues.
Ability to work alone or with little supervision.
Ability to walk and walk stairs on patrols.
Must wear PPE at all times while on site.

Responsibilities

Conduct fire watch patrols every hour.
Perform foot patrols of the areas to watch for theft, vandalism, homeless individuals, and unauthorized people on site.
Use Silvertrac for report writing and documenting incidents.
Call 911 or non-emergency numbers as needed.
Be friendly but firm when dealing with people on campus.
De-escalate issues.
Work with construction crews on site.
Observe and report issues such as leaks, pipe bursts, door checks, fence lines, gates, fires, or other emergencies.
Patrol six floors and outside areas, including walking and climbing stairs.
Wear PPE at all times while on site.
