As a Security Officer Flex Government Building Patrol in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Monitor the location for unusual activity and report observations according to site-specific protocols.
• Assist with access control activities and support authorized entry and exit procedures as directed by site policies.
