About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a foot-patrol assignment at a logistics and distribution location in Hampstead, Maryland. The position pays $15.70 per hour and has a fixed weekly anchor shift on Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The assigned shift requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and later scale back. The role provides security services and customer support, conducts patrols, monitors access, responds to incidents, and prepares reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas; identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain visitor or vehicle logs.
• Document incidents, patrol findings, and other security-related activities in clear, timely reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
