About The Position

This is a part-time Security Officer position at Muckleshoot Casino Resort. The role involves maintaining a safe and friendly environment, safeguarding property assets, and ensuring compliance with security procedures. The officer will interact with guests, team members, and vendors, document incidents, and may be involved in training new staff. The position requires adherence to the company's values and a commitment to excellent guest service and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Hold and maintain a valid WA State driver’s License with no restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain a Class IIIA gaming license.
  • Six (6) months’ Professional Security Experience required.
  • Served in a guest-facing security role with responsibilities including guest interaction, safety enforcement, and incident response in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • Authored clear, detailed incident reports to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal security or law enforcement training, schooling, or certification preferred.
  • Previous security, military, or civilian police officer training and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify Muckleshoot Casino Resort’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Practice support and promote the Security Department's mission statement.
  • Document and prepare accurate and complete written records and reports in response to incidents, procedure violations, or criminal activities as responded to, observed, and/or witnessed.
  • Interact with guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a safe and friendly environment.
  • Assist guests, team members, and visitors within the guidelines set by the department.
  • Safeguard property assets.
  • Ensure proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
  • Monitor team members’ vehicles as well as ensuring they park in the properly designated areas.
  • Issue parking violation notices to team members who have violated the parking policy.
  • Operate company vehicle.
  • May serve as training officer to new security staff, while maintaining and exhibiting excellent guest service.
  • Required to complete various training programs, such as CPR, first aid, defensive tactics, etc., after hire.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of each security vehicle and equipment.
  • May testify in court as needed regarding Muckleshoot Casino Resort-related incidents.
  • Creates, maintains, and facilitates a positive and safe work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure during high-pressure situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques and sound judgment to manage conflicts effectively.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
