As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
  • Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, hazards, and/or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
