About The Position

As a Security Officer New York State Licensed Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, facility-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Monitor access points and help support visitor management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
