About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for entry screening at a logistics and distribution location in Madison, Wisconsin. The role offers a dependable assigned site and weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary week to week, and employees may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.64 per hour. The position involves customer service, access control, entry screening, incident response, and patrols.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
Screen individuals and vehicles entering or leaving the facility according to site procedures and access-control requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
