Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a utilities location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and following security-related policies for a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support daily operations by documenting observations, reporting security-related incidents, and following post orders related to key control, vehicle access, and protected infrastructure areas.
