As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by managing badge access, monitoring entry points, responding to alarm panel activity, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support security-related operations, provide outstanding customer service, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Screen incoming vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and restricted areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
