As a Security Officer Hospital Part Time in Ventura, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:30 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Vaccines are required for this hospital assignment.
- Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required.
- Ability to restrain individuals is required for this hospital assignment.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related concerns throughout the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to manage visitor, patient, and/or vendor movement in accordance with site policies and assigned post instructions.
- Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities accurately and report maintenance, life-support, or other site-related issues to the appropriate personnel as needed.
