About The Position

We are currently hiring a Security Officer for a site in Germantown, NY. This position offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 0500–1700 (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM), totaling 24 hours per week. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements

Valid NYS Driver’s License (must be able to pass Safe-Drive certification).
High School Diploma or Equivalency required
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Excellent written communication skills for logs and reports.
Ability to work independently.
Professional demeanor and sound judgment when handling unexpected situations.
Reliable transportation is required, as public transit does not align with shift hours.
The position requires a valid NYS Driver’s License and the ability to meet Safe‑Drive program requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience is a plus but not required—we’ll train you.
If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Responsibilities

Conduct driving patrols throughout the property (Safe-Drive certification required).
Monitor access onto the property.
Complete thorough daily activity logs.
Write clear, detailed incident reports as needed.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity.
Work independently and manage responsibilities without direct supervision.
