Requirements

  • A valid commercial driver’s license is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, hallways, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor the location for security-related issues such as trespassing, property-related concerns, and policy violations, and document observations, incidents, and/or interactions in accordance with site expectations.
  • Assist with visitor and staff interactions, provide directions and information as needed, and support a professional environment within a healthcare setting through consistent presence and communication.
