About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Multiple Shifts in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe the location for security-related concerns, documenting incidents and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting patients, visitors, and staff with directions, general information, and reporting procedures for security-related matters.
