Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Required hospital vaccines are required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with visitor directions, and support a professional environment for all occupants.
  • Assist with access control, incident reporting, and other security-related duties as assigned, following Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
